Egypt Receiving Antey-2500 Missiles

A new image has emerged showing a batch of missiles reportedly for Egypt's Antey-2500 (S-300VM) missile systems.

On June 6, 2017 a new image emerged purportedly showing a batch of missiles being delivered to Egypt. The missiles appear to be for the Antey-2500, which Egypt ordered as part of a contract worth over $1 billion. Cairo placed an order for three Antey-2500 divisions, including a command post, in 2015.
Further details on the image, such as the ship the missiles were loaded onto, were not immediately available, though the image was tagged as being in the Port of Alexandria some time in May 2017.

Egypt may have already taken delivery of Antey-2500 components. A source in the Russian Defense Ministry told Interfax in March 2015, "Deliveries of auxiliary technological equipment have been launched. Within a year, Egypt will receive launchers and other equipment."

The following month, images emerged apparently showing a launcher and other equipment prior to delivery.
