Israel Receives New F-35 Batch

Three new F-35I stealth aircraft have arrived to Nevatim Air Force Base in Israel from the United States.

On April 23, 2017, Israel took delivery of the next batch of F-35 stealth jets. Three aircraft -- serial numbers 904, 905, and 907 -- departed from the United States several days ago and were seen arriving to Nevatim on Sunday.
The delivery was previously reported on W4T, citing The Times of Israel. On their way to Israel, the aircraft were seen stopping in Portugal.
The Times released a video on Sunday showing the new arrivals.

The new aircraft bring Israel's total F-35s to five. Serial numbers 901 and 902 were delivered in December.

The F-35 in Israeli service are known as F-35I -- they will all receive equipment upgrades following delivery that match specific Israeli requirements.

Israel has 33 F-35s on order at present, with plans to order an additional 17. Once all are in service, Israel will have 50 jets.
